Since the early 1990s, Mr. Ribs Family Restaurant & Lounge has been Saskatoon's neighbourhood home for slow-cooked baby back ribs, Greek souvlaki, hand-pressed burgers and an extensive pizza menu. Located at 1-1945 McKercher Drive in the city's southeast end, we serve families, sports fans and large groups seven days a week with generous portions, a full bar and warm hospitality.

The Beginning

Our Story: 30+ Years of Saskatoon's Favourite Ribs on McKercher Drive

Mr. Ribs Family Restaurant & Lounge has been a cornerstone of the Saskatoon community since the early 1990s, building a loyal following over more than 30 years of consistent, quality dining on McKercher Drive. With roots in community-focused family dining, the restaurant has a long track record of welcoming families, seniors and large groups with dedicated menus and special group rates.

Over the decades, Mr. Ribs has undergone renovations and ownership transitions, with the current ownership continuing the tradition of offering the same beloved menu in a more sophisticated and comfortable setting. Long-time guests have noted the continuity of quality through every ownership change — many customers have been coming back for over 20 years. From slow-cooked baby back ribs and our Saskatoon-favourite dry ribs to souvlaki on skewers, handmade pastas, hand-pressed burgers and an extensive pizza menu, there is something on the menu for every member of the family.

Our identity is deeply tied to our neighbourhood pub roots on McKercher Drive — a gathering place for locals, sports fans and families alike. The main dining room and lounge accommodate up to 140 guests, and our private banquet room hosts up to 40 guests for birthday parties, corporate events, bridal showers and wedding receptions. Beyond food, Mr. Ribs offers a full bar with beer specials, specialty cocktails, contests including Saskatchewan Roughriders ticket draws, and regular live entertainment — open seven days a week, 11 AM to midnight.
